FOCUS ON: Grey

    And its (50) shades

    FOCUS ON: Grey

Someone sees grey as a dull color that infuse melancholy and feebleness. But, as far as psychology core concepts state, grey contributes to emphasize the main spritual and intellectual values: confidence, independence and elegance.

Even though SS23 menswear collections were dominated by black and white outfits, our editors picked a selection of items in different hues and (50) shades of grey for accessories, clothing and shoes. An evergreen color that never goes out of fashion has to be part of a closet, be it for a more classic or street style.

Versace designed a sweatshirt featuring "La Maschera" print, perfect to match Dolce&Gabbana baggy shorts or to Rick Owens loose and low-crotched ones. Thome Browne stated that grey is 'the most fashionable colour, because it is not fashionable'. For this reason the blazer detailed with the iconic 4-bars is the must-have for this season.

Not to be missed: made in Italy lightweighted Valentino Garavani LOW-TOP MS-2960 sneakers, covered by 32 studs. Don't forget to add to the list Dolce&Gabbana Portofino sneakers, created starting from a monochromatic grey or New Balance 610, with a more sporty and dynamic twist . If you fancy a more sophisticated pair, Maison Margiela Oxford shoes are your choice.

Don't forget to add the final touch: accessories. Go for an Etro belt detailed with its iconic jacquard paisley pattern, a Thom Browne wallet or a fancy Tod'S leather bracelet. Spring doesn't have to be made of colorful and vivid shades. You can always shelter from the Sun under a grey bucket hat: discover Kenzo model with logos all over.

In our edit: Thom Browne, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Rick Owens, Maison Margiela, Valentino Garavani, New Balance, Etro, Tod's, Kenzo.
